返緊Summer Intership嘅你唔可以錯過嘅4個Tips!隨住六月差唔多完結,相信同學仔都適應咗Summer Internship,唔知大家嘅職場體驗如何呢?開始感受到明爭暗鬥爭取表現嘅氛圍未呢?當人人都講緊搏Return Offer嘅時候,你又知唔知原來有啲職場嘅common sense會對你嘅工作表現構成重大影響?達唔到標準嘅話除咗留下唔好印象,仲可能無咗份工添,返緊Intern嘅你一定要睇下自己有無中伏啦!1. Gate-keep喺工作上嘅Confidentiality大家有無試過返緊工嘅時候同朋友send message傾計呢?其實唔同行業入面,尤其是Banking Industry,係有好嚴格嘅compliance去監管bankers同外界嘅溝通,例如Sales and Trading或者Private Banking,用公司電話聽嘅所有call都會被錄音,以防佢哋利用自己position透露一啲trading secrets俾其他人。如果有人惡意犯規嘅話,唔只對間bank,公眾對於成個financial institution嘅信用都會大受影響。之前Morgan Stanley因為有員工用WhatsApp/iMessage溝通而罰咗佢哋幾千蚊至一百萬美金不等(差唔多上800萬港幣!)。做實習雖然未必成日都接觸到咁confidential嘅嘢,但同一條rules 人人適用!就好似考公開試唔好影Barcode一樣,真係唔好以為無人知。以前就試過有intern喺trading floor影咗張相再po上IG,然後好快就被炒魷魚,有啲銀行甚至連hashtag佢都唔比㖭㗎!2. 做好你部電腦嘅Data Protection經過咗COVID-19之後,依家唔少公司都會俾員工有WFH嘅quota,等員工可以享受到更大嘅彈性。但如果我哋想chill住咁搵間cafe做嘢,用公司電腦連去呢一類公家 wifi,就有將公司嘅私隱暴露嘅風險。Forbe有調查發現,單喺美國,平均每年每7個人就至少有1個因為WFH而導致data leakage。每間公司嘅內部資訊例如產品成本、未來嘅project等等都應該對大眾保密。如果呢啲insider secrets因為人為錯誤而流入不懷好意嘅人手上,有可能會引致大型嘅商業罪案,甚至令公司陷入公關災難㗎。3. 了解公司嘅Org. Chart,搵啱部門加快解決問題好多時候我哋工作上嘅挑戰都唔係可以靠一個人解決,當你需要搵其他人尋求幫手嘅時候你又知唔知應該搵咩division? 邊一個人先係decision maker? 當我哋處理一個Project嘅時候,我哋需要了解唔同部門係Project入面嘅角色係啲咩:Accountable:主要負責execute project嘅人Collaborate:次要與Accountable部門合作嘅人Advice:向Accountable部門提供建議嘅人Report:Accountable部門嘅reporting line如果了解清楚Project嘅stakeholders同埋佢哋嘅作用,咁樣遇到難題都可以慳返好多時間,唔洗喺錯嘅人身上拎錯嘅答案啦。4. 向你嘅Team提供工作上嘅Visibility作為你嘅上司,其實唔怕你唔識,反而最怕你唔識又扮識/唔識做但無人知!其實返得實習,大家都唔會期望同學仔一下子乜都識曬,所以佢哋都會盡力喺短時間內onboard同學on daily practice。如果你有嘢唔明或者唔肯定,千祈唔好怕瘀/怕人鬧而唔敢clarify。如果你喺Sales & Trading呢啲部門工作而喺程序上犯錯,承受呢啲irreversable changes嘅可能會係你嘅clients,到時唔好話你,可能到時連你嘅Manager都會俾人投訴㗎。所以有唔明一定要問,咁先對自己、自己條Team、同客人有最好嘅保障。另外,你做嘅嘢以及對內/外嘅溝通最好都loop in埋你嘅上司,有問題嘅時候/你需要請假嘅時候佢哋就可以根據你嘅進度即時back up你,佢哋亦可以從而評估你嘅工作表現,俾到on time嘅feedback你。作為intern未必咁容易有機會加印象分,但係唔小心嘅話就一定有位俾人扣分。無人想請一個做嘢sloppy、唔留意細節、隨時add risk to公司嘅實習,所以一定要小心自己send / forward啲咩嘢出街。就算唔係你send嘢出去,而係做receiving end,都要記得做noisy exit,即係當自己喺一啲唔適當嘅渠道接收到敏感資料,就要好清楚咁表達自己離開呢個conversation。至於內部email,都要留意自己嘅部門唔可以同邊啲部門溝通,以防利益衝突。無論係已經喺返緊實習定係準備onboard,想知道點樣可以最好咁利用自己嘅經驗爭取return offer或者好impression,令自己搵下一份工/轉工更順利,就立即去我哋嘅bio link sign up for 一個嘅 consultation call,了解下個coaching program 計劃自己嘅 winning career game plan!
