動動腦 轉轉彎「一架747客機裝到幾多個網球?」三種Brain Teaser破解方法!唔準Google,即刻答!Interview要過五關斬六將,其中一部分就係時不時會出現嘅Brain Teaser。越黎越多公司嘅職位強調candidate唔可以淨係識收order做嘢,更加要mentally flexible,識得運用自己嘅創意同數理分析能力幫公司解難,所以佢哋喺同candidate面試嘅時候都會加一、兩條Brain Teaser,睇下candidate會點樣應對。我哋見到有啲同學仔好易俾呢啲題目嚇親,於是佢哋會背曬喺網上搵到嘅所有題目(咁當然無可能啦)。亦都有啲同學當呢啲係IQ題,到時靠轉數快improvise啲自以為好聰明嘅答案,忽視咗唔係每一種Brain Teaser都係考創意。咁同學仔應該點樣準備呢?就等我哋今次呢個post為大家拆解三種Brain Teaser同埋各自嘅目的同破解方法啦~Market Sizing題「紐約市舊年賣咗幾多盞燈膽?」「全中國有幾多㗎電動車?」「地鐵一日賺幾多錢?」呢類題目我哋統稱為market sizing,喺finance同consulting嘅面試好常見。佢會要求你去估算一個特定嘅產品市場有幾大。佢亦都可以演變成一啲唔關business事嘅估算題目。呢類題目係無標準答案,interviewer比較想知道candidate嘅邏輯推理能力,有時candidate亦都可以問面試官clarify條問題。無論同產品市場有無關係,去應對呢類型嘅題目,可以首先根據常識訂立一條equation,拆解equation每一個部分,提出相應嘅assumption,然後以約數(Round Off / Round Up / Round Down)嘅形式計算。數理心算題「有隻病毒每1百萬人就有1人感染。病毒測試就有1%會出錯。有幾大可能你係false positive?」「一個10x10x10嘅大立方體由1x1x1嘅黑色小立方體組成。將大立方體外表油成紅色後,有幾多個小立方體係有紅色?」「你有兩個容器,分別裝到300mL同500mL,點用最少嘅step去裝到400mL水?」呢種Brain Teaser喺finance嘅面試都好常見,問題嘅形式可以好多種,但係萬變不離其宗,只要對基本嘅數學概念有一定嘅掌握(e.g. Algebra、幾何、時間、速度、比例、Probability)就好容易答到。不過正正因為同學可能太耐無用心算計數,一面對呢啲問題嘅時候就會變得好緊張,再加埋面試嘅氣氛,就令到好多同學連一啲初中level嘅數都計錯。又或者,有啲同學數學比較有信心,見到呢啲題目口快快就答咗,但係無留意當中嘅細節就好容易出錯。所以,歸根究底,呢種Brain Teaser實際上除咗考緊你嘅數理能力,亦都係一種stress interview,考緊你係咪可以冷靜面對問題,同埋會唔會好容易放棄。個要訣就係唔好心急,慢慢答,好多時就會搵到方法 / 自己唔小心嘅位!解迷題「國王有兩個仔,想決定傳位俾邊個好。於是佢就同兩個王子講:要佢哋去北部嘅花園摘一朵紅茉莉花,邊個隻駱駝最遲返嚟就傳位俾佢。花農見佢哋摘完花賴死唔走,就贈佢哋兩句。講完之後,兩個王子都趕返去王宮。個花農講咗啲咩?」呢一類就真係變化萬千,亦都好難以一套方法解決曬。佢哋考緊嘅係candidate可唔可以收放自如,有無即場應變能力同埋創意。對於一啲好著重創新嘅公司,某程度上佢哋亦都會借呢啲問題去睇下candidate有無culture fit。同學應付呢一種問題嘅時候不妨放鬆啲,跳出個框框。好多時只要你解釋得到就可以,有時有趣啲嘅答案反而印象更好㖭。不過,一兩題嘅Brain Teaser其實並唔係成個interview嘅戲肉,就算俾你答啱曬,都唔代表一定會加分。喺面試官嘅眼中,更加重要嘅係你本身嘅性格同能力適唔適合個職位。要喺一個interview表現得好,個candidate除咗最基本一定要有個職位要求嘅skillset去應付相應嘅technical questions,另外亦都要對自己嘅經歷、優點、缺點有透徹嘅了解,再加埋有故事性嘅表達方式去展現自己嘅intangibles,咁先可以喺眾多嘅candidate當中脫穎而出。距離recruitment season嘅時間越黎越短喇,如果自問未有一個有系統嘅方法或者resources去準備咁多種唔同類型嘅interview,不妨去我哋bio link book個call,睇下我哋可以點幫手~
