Tech & Banking 過度擴張,瘋狂請人再炒人🥶Junior 最危?想入行又唔想坐音樂椅要點做?有follow開我哋IG嘅同學仔就知道,2022年市道唔好,好多banks都cut緊headcount去平衡返數簿。但係除咗投行之外,最近唔少tech firm尤其是fintech都大舉裁員,究竟又點解呢?👔今次就等我哋一次過整合finance同non-finance嘅最新裁員狀況,同埋分析下背後嘅原因,等大家都可以掌握市場動態,喺plan自己career嘅時候會諗多啲個行業長遠發展同埋自己嘅next steps。Credit Suisse三年裁9000人😨CS架構重組大舉炒人之前都有講過。根據最新消息,佢哋會喺2025年之前裁員9000人,而當中嘅第一批會喺聖誕假之前發生,涉及2700人(佔全體員工5%)。有趣嘅係佢哋London Office嘅banker似乎唔太知驚,可能對於新拆出來嘅CS First Boston嘅propsect同pay scale存有太大幻想,覺得團火應該唔會燒到埋嚟自己身上,繼續準備過聖誕holiday mood🎄。Deutsche專炒junior🔰Deutsche Bank雖然情況無CS咁坎坷,亦都一定無CS裁得咁多,但係礙於盈利減少,每隔一段時間就會裁幾十個人。就好似早兩個禮拜,New York Office就炒咗20個junior同幾個senior。正因為好多唔少被炒嘅都係junior,無經歷過經濟低迷,所以對於裁員都感到好驚訝。但係站喺bank嘅立場嚟睇,炒junior似乎係最make sense因為每一年都有新嘅畢業生replace佢哋。😭Goldman Sachs裁underperformer?📉GS話就話裁員係為咗減少firm入面嘅underperformer,但係實情好似唔係咁!理論上,喺GS嘅appraisal system底下應該只會裁走表現最差2%嘅人,但係內部就有人透露某啲teams炒咗四分一人,而且佢哋performance都唔錯。🧐會唔會有其他bank裁員呢?裁嘅話又會係咩department呢?一間英國嘅consulting firm Tricumen就住唔同banks唔同department嘅revenue per head做咗啲分析,發現Equity Capital Markets嘅盈利跌得最多(按年下跌80%),最大機會炒人嘅係啲歐洲銀行,例如UBS、HSBC、SocGen,反而美國銀行嘅裁員危機就無咁大。不過就算banking炒幾多人都好,相比起tech firm最近嘅裁員人數,簡直係小巫見大巫🔥。Meta: 11,000Twitter: 3,700Stripe: 1,100Coinbase: 1,100Microsoft: <1000Bite off more than they can chew😢呢個現象並唔侷限於Meta投資Metaverse過度要裁員減成本,又或者Twitter俾Elon Musk收購所以裁員呢啲odd case,亦都蔓延到其他tech firm。原來,過去兩年嘅疫情令到唔少人依賴科技,俾tech firm多咗發展空間,令佢哋急速膨脹,喺呢段期間請咗唔少人。但係當依家疫情緩和,大家續漸習慣返平常生活之後,佢哋嘅生意就減少,亦都afford唔起當初請返來嘅員工。就好似Stripe嘅CEO Patrick同John Collison咁講:「我哋當初請得太多人。我哋對於成個internet economy嘅未來發展太樂觀,急速咁增加我哋嘅營運成本......」不過雖然講就咁講,但係事實上85%嘅公司喺逆市依然請緊人。如果你都想知道點樣喺逆市headcount少咗嘅情況底下都能夠突圍而出,就不妨了解下我哋嘅coaching program啦💡!我哋嘅coaches都係內行人,緊貼所有industry最新嘅hiring狀況,亦都更加會幫你train up你嘅technicalities同intangibles。即刻去Bio Link 卜個call了解我哋coaching 啦!
