Goldman Sachs 面試都會問:「你最近睇咗咩書?」好書推介 📕 大行大公司面試無難度!無論你係最近身歷其境,定係已經過咗DSE呢個關卡,最近都一定會知道DSE英文科閱讀及寫作卷選材咗美國前總統奧巴馬妻子米歇爾(#MichelleObama)嘅自傳,抽取咗部份章節做試題講parenting style & family values,殺好多同學一措手不及。其實即使出到社會啲公司都好鐘意問人最近睇咗啲咩書,從而知道你嘅personality、mentality及應變係唔係符合公司culture,就好似Goldman Sachs咁,Video Interview曾經有條問題會問:「你最近睇咗咩書或聽咗咩podcast?」平日無乜閱讀習慣嘅同學,或睇好多書但無諗過點樣relate自己career 嘅同學,就會好易GG。當然今日唔係推介大家去睇 #Becoming ,但亦都有本書係我哋唔少coaches都推介&覺得係好書,讀咩科同想入咩行業嘅同學都岩睇架!《Thinking Fast and Slow》 by Daniel Kahneman呢本書喺New York Times嘅Bestseller之一,更加獲得唔少報刊例如The Economists、The Wall Street Journal 等等嘅大力推薦!簡單summarize下啲key takeaways啦!1️⃣ Behavior is determined by 2 systems in mind: 人嘅思考分為兩類,第一類喺Fast thinking,喺一個自動化嘅system,只會做事物的快速辨識同埋直覺式思考。而第二類喺Slow thinking,喺一個effortful嘅system,會負責需要理性同智慧嘅思考。2️⃣ Your brain is lazy: 因為system 1 喺個自動化嘅system,我哋嘅大腦好多時不知不覺間都會自動揀咗用直覺思考嘅system 1嚟幫我地處理事情,但其實system 1 可能會令我哋忽略咗一啲重要要點,例如system 1並唔識得進行statistics上嘅分析,因而令我哋落入盲點而不自知。所以我地思考嘅時侯要用盡我哋嘅腦力同智慧,咁先可以善用我哋嘅system 2幫我哋分析!3️⃣ Leave your emotions at home: 當你要做同數字有關嘅決定時,唔好咁易比你嘅情緒影響你!大家嘅工作點都同financial會有啲關係,喺分析嘅時候好容易會有loss aversion,當擁有愈多就愈怕失去。但喺思考嘅時候唔可以輕易比呢種驚嘅情緒主導,反而更加應該考慮statistics同probability呢啲數字上嘅因素,再作出明智嘅決定!4️⃣What You See Is All There Is: 我哋思考嘅時候其實成日都會比我哋見到嘅嘢所限制,明明睇到嘅只喺好少部分,但就淨喺focus喺果少部分而忽略更有力嘅資訊,只根據果少少睇到嘅嘢就作出總結。所以我哋喺思考時唔好只focus喺自己睇到嘅,要睇闊啲睇多啲!5️⃣ Over-confidence:你知唔知有近9成嘅人都會作出可怕嘅financial decisions? 咁喺因為我哋成日都會出現over-confident嘅時候,我哋只喺睇投資選項嘅好而忽略佢嘅downsides,例如喺風險等等。所以做決定時記得要睇曬好壞兩面啊!6️⃣ Answering Easier Questions: 頭先都講過,我哋嘅大腦係懶惰嘅!但你又知唔知,原來大腦為咗可以懶啲,會自帶翻譯嘅功能? 當我甚哋被問到一條較為複雜、唔容易理解嘅問題時,大腦為咗可以用自動化嘅system 1去思考,會將條問題簡化,翻譯成system 1都可以處理到嘅問題,繼而令你只用system 1去思考,答案至同本身嘅有所分別,所以聽到問題時要仔細點諗,唔好比自己嘅簡化版誤導啊!不過總會有同學呢期就快/岩岩考完試,真係唔想睇書而又想acquire唔同industry knowledge~咁就要留意Career Hackers 搞緊嘅 webinar hackathon,逢星期六夜晚9點都會有唔同industry expert 開live 解答最新行業資訊及請人updates!今個星期六(29日)就搵來 US & EU bulge bracket banks 都有多年Equity Research經驗嘅coach Grace開live webinar 一次過解答哂大家所有有關ER、前景、headcount嘅問題!即到Bio Link 報名啦!🎯Inside Equity Research - Headcount, Salary and Recruiting Strategy4月29日 香港時間9點名額有限 只此一場
