Big 4/ Consulting/ 律師樓10年內升partner不是夢!用AI fast-track!

仲讀緊書嘅你,又或者初出道嘅大家今次真係行大運喇!曾幾何時,要上到Big 4 / Consulting / Law Firm嘅巔峰——「Partner」一位平均起碼要15-20年。但喺近幾年AI急速發展之下,呢啲大firm都用多咗科技節省人力物理時間,仲因為咁打算加快junior升職加薪嘅步伐㖭!🤩不過上位上得快亦都代表interviewer想喺junior嘅你身上見到嘅skillset會唔同咗,而你要追得到新嘅learning curve,亦好係時候開始準備喇!想知道呢個AI大趨勢點影響你嘅career path就繼續睇落去啦!
Partner要15年先升到係因為...
唔少入Big 4、Consulting、law firm嘅同學仔,心入面都應該幻想過自己終有一日升到Partner。🔥 就算係最叻嘅人要升上partner都唔係話咁易,所以做得到嘅嗰5%人才自然贏到眾人仰慕嘅目光同埋賺到fat fat嘅荷包,喺香港Big 4嚟講可以賺成百萬甚至千萬年薪!同一般公司嘅高層有少少唔同,Partner呢個位置嚴格嚟講並唔係公司受薪員工(亦都有例外),佢哋之所以可以賺到咁多係因為作為公司嘅「partner」會share公司搵到嘅錢做收入,換言之你有越多客,你條business unit搵到越多錢,你收入就越高。💪🏻
搵唔搵到客除咗靠彩數,亦都好睇你個人本身積累返嚟嘅人脈。假設你入行三年之後公司先開始俾你對客,你可以想像下幾時先儲夠有用嘅connection俾你坐正Partner喇。呢個亦都係點解Partner早極都要10年以上先升到。平均嚟講,喺Big 4 / Consulting要做到Partner起碼要15-20年;Law firm雖然唔使咁耐,但係都要10-15年左右。
AI一鍵取代junior嘅無聊task!
不過,捱更抵夜15年換取一朝得志嘅升partner故事可能好快變成歷史喇!🥲最近唔同accounting、consulting、甚至law firm都開始研究點樣用多啲AI去代替人力做某啲重複性嘅task。以KPMG為例,佢哋成日都要花好多個鐘頭整合同疏理稅局提供嘅資料,以往呢啲grunt work都係intern仔又或者初入職嘅fresh grad / junior去做。依家佢哋將呢啲資料放入database,要搵料用AI search幾分鐘就可以,慳返人手摷資料嘅時間。喺law firm亦都一樣,以往junior每朝早花半個鐘頭整理case highlights又或者做legal research嘅時間都可以靠科技慳返唔少時間。至於其他工種嘅無聊task,例如砌pitch deck、寫稿、draft email、整minutes呢啲濕碎嘢依家基本上都可以交俾AI處理!
慳返時間攞嚟升職
KPMG嘅CTO Stuart Tait預計adopt咗AI之後,每個員工每月可以慳返15個鐘頭嘅時間。呢15個鐘可以攞嚟做咩?就係做以前senior先會掂得到嘅task。好似PwC咁,佢哋已經下放緊俾junior多啲機會去client meeting做sales pitch;Macfarlanes LLP嘅junior律師亦都多咗機會接觸比較複雜嘅project。咁代表啲咩?PwC嘅Chief Innovation Officer Jeff Wong就好直接咁話佢哋正正係想junior儲多啲經驗,可以快啲上位lead人,縮短咗大家升partner嘅時間!🤘🏻
喺以前嘅角度去睇,咁快俾junior接觸大project會驚佢哋無經驗累事,應該做幾年grunt work去學識個行業點運作。不過唔係個個old seafood都咁諗,Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner律師樓嘅Jeff Westcott就認為呢啲grunt work雖然有佢嘅價值,但係一次生兩次熟,根本唔使浪費幾年時間做同一樣野,早啲學「senior」要學嘅嘢仲有意義。
