邊一個發明了實習?😮💨5個點解Y1已經要開始返Intern嘅理由🧑💻而家呢個世代年輕人真係好Chur,以往大部份大學都係等同學上到Penultimate year先幫佢哋安排實習,但!如果大家真係到Penu/final year 先開始搵工,去到面試嘅時候就會發現落後人哋一大截😵💫,好多同學已經有內定/return offer,而自己份 Grad job 就凍過水🥶。呢篇文就係俾仲係Y1/Y2嘅大家,點解已經要開始返Intern嘅5個理由✋。1 - 學大學課本無嘅嘢 📚聽落好似好cliche,但呢度所指無嘅嘢,唔單止係practical skills,例如點樣用一直變緊嘅market data draft一份pitch deck、equity portfolio點樣不斷要rebalance同 hedging等,而係實習時你會知道,你仲有咩範疇未學,對行業仲有幾多方向係未了解,讀緊嘅科目有無/將來會唔會可以好好咁equip你,如果唔可以,咁應該要reg 返多啲咩類型嘅科,搵邊個professor傾,傾啲咩咁👀。2 - 將見到嘅技能轉化為你個人嘅課堂 💪學校Assignments 好多時都會用過期/purify過嘅data 以方便教某一個concept,但整體來講就會好單一好悶,慢慢扼殺你入行或奮鬥動力😣,你亦會發覺好難將所學嘅完全一比一咁套用響工作之中。相反,實習就係用實戰,幫你將一套套理論bring down to earth,睇到你嘅senior 點樣將你學過嘅理論用出來seal the deal,正正就係幫你上堂,同時你都會學到溝通技巧、適應、時間管理等技能💡。3 - 提早建立 network及portfolio 🎯識人有時真係好過識字,實習可以俾你實際上同專業人士一齊工作,以行動證明你嘅能力,獲得有份量嘅認可。MD 嘅一份reference letter,可能勝過你幾份A grade assignments🔥。而且當你上到Y3,如果比同期同學多一兩份work experience,不但係對你能力嘅擔保,更間接顯示你係一個主動及有計劃嘅人,你亦都可以用實習做過嘅工作向未來的employer展示你嘅achievement。4 -獲得 honest feedback &life-time 經驗 👑喺學校拎爛grade都只係影響自己個GPA,但你響實習做得唔好,就會影響成個team,甚至係個project,所以實習期間有任何做得唔好嘅地方你都一定會收到feedback,呢個都係你學習同進步嘅最佳時間💫。好多top firms響請full time都會有好高要求,而實習,特別係會請Y1 & Y2嘅program,門檻相對會較低,俾到大家一個機會入大公司見識下個culture及行業運作,了解佢喜愛agressive定people person嘅candidate,overtime程度對自己而言會否太toxic等🙈,為career path 做個比較周詳及figurative 嘅計劃。5 - 實習通脹 🔺呢個現象係近10年先出現,個個想入top firms/banks嘅同學都知道要提早Plan,咁個個都Y1&Y2 就去做Intern,就造成intern質素同要求都一併提高哂啦,例如一啲開宗明義肯請Y1/Y2 的Co-op Program、Student placement program、PWMA Program,但以我哋coaching program經驗而言,interview後有offer嘅同學,大部份都係已有3份internships打咗底。咁喺無得中六就plan嘅情況下,一份空白嘅CV點樣可以拎到第一份decent嘅internship呢?咁就要睇 Career Hackers 為大家準備嘅《How to build a CV from scratch》Free Webinar📝響約1小時嘅webinar入面,我哋Career Success Manager會同大家解構,用傳統方法例如上求職網、大學referral等等,搵一份internship嘅制肘,話俾大家知公司同senior都唔會講嘅殘酷現實🤭,同埋3大 work around 可以幫大家upgrade自己個profile,更易搵到之後嘅internship🤝。快啲到Bio Link揀slot 報名啦!
